The Institute of Clinical Nutrition was founded in 2007.

The main task of this institute is to represent the department of Clinical Nutrition, Prevention and Gender as well as the department of Immunology, Dietetics and Nutritional Psychology in research and teaching at the University of Hohenheim.

The objective of this institute is to broaden the study courses of Clinical Nutrition and research into the areas of medicine, immunology, dietetics and food habits and, furthermore, to develop a connection between the method and the practice.
